The 2026 Altima® lineup centers around two well-equipped trims: SV and SR. The SV serves as the foundation of the range, featuring a 2.5L direct-injection engine, Nissan Safety Shield® 360, an 8-way power driver's seat, remote engine start, an 8-inch NissanConnect® touchscreen, Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Available packages add premium features such as leather-appointed seating, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, ProPILOT Assist, a moonroof, and wireless smartphone integration. The SR introduces a more athletic personality. Sport-tuned suspension, paddle shifters, 19-inch alloy wheels, gloss-black exterior accents, dual chrome exhaust finishers, sport seating surfaces, and a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen create a more engaging driving environment. Available upgrades include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, Bose® premium audio, Intelligent Around View® Monitor, and ProPILOT Assist.

Every 2026 Altima® is powered by a 2.5L Direct Injection Gasoline 4-cylinder engine paired with Nissan's Xtronic CVT®. Front-wheel-drive models produce 188 hp and 180 lbs. ft. of torque, while available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive models generate 182 hp and 178 lbs. ft. of torque. The powertrain delivers smooth acceleration and excellent efficiency, with front-wheel-drive models achieving up to an EPA-estimated 36 highway mpg.

The Altima® focuses on balanced performance rather than outright speed. Its independent front suspension and multi-link rear suspension help create a composed ride, while available sport-tuned suspension on SR models sharpens handling responses. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive continuously monitors road conditions and automatically directs power where needed, providing added confidence during rain and changing road conditions.

Inside, the Altima® offers seating for 5 passengers and up to 100.6 cu. ft. of passenger volume. Rear-seat occupants benefit from generous legroom, while the trunk provides 15.4 cu. ft. of cargo capacity. Higher trims and packages introduce leather-appointed seating, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front passenger seating, and premium interior finishes.

Technology plays a central role in the Altima® experience. Available models feature a 12.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, wireless charging, NissanConnect® Services, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability. The MyNISSAN App allows remote access to vehicle functions and maintenance information. Available Bose® premium audio further elevates the cabin experience.
